Arsenal Officials force Cazorla apology.

Posted on January 21, 2014 by Random Spurs Supporter

Various papers are now reporting that Santi Cazorla has been forced to issue a grovelling apology to Tottenham Football Club and all their supporters, quite rightly too. Unfortunately it is hard to believe that his apology is nothing more than token gesture forced upon him, his story that he had not seen what was written on the piece of paper sounds very much like a line from Arsene Wenger who trots out the same thing when asked to comment on anything untoward in relation to his players.

As we said yesterday it was probably time for the FA to step in to ensure that Arsenal took the necessary steps to keep their players in check, these constant and petty attempts at inciting Tottenham supporters before the next derby could be incendiary come the day of the fixture. Arsenal players have continued to show a total lack of respect for their nearest neighbors and the number of incidents have increased since the FA took no action against Walcott after the FA Cup 3rd round fixture, this gave the green light for every player to flaunt authority.

Not for one minute do I believe that the apology from Cazorla is truly heartfelt or genuine nor do I believe that he wasn’t fully aware of exactly what was happening and the effect it would have but at least we should now see an end this pathetic form of attention seeking for the time being.

Just how the Metro, Mirror and one or two others will now cope for controversial articles to attract attention is hard to see so be prepared for alien sightings somewhere in North London perhaps.

I wonder what the ‘moral’ journos will say about this one. I bet nothing! The FA, unsurprisingly quiet.

  2. Eric says:

    The entire episode was unnecessary

Not really sure why all this stupidity is coming out of the gooners these days, half a dozen incidents in last couple of months. Gone too far now and somebody has pulled the club on it, about time.
