Manchester City v Tottenham reviewed. 0

Posted on January 23, 2017 by Guest Writer

Our trip to the Etihad on Saturday promised so much with such contrasting recent form of these two sides, City struggling following a heavy defeat at Goodison a week earlier, Tottenham flying and hoping for their seventh consecutive league victory. As it turned out City with home advantage took the game to the away team from the off and were by far the more dangerous of the two sides.

Sundays Premier League predictions week 22. 0

Posted on January 22, 2017 by Eddie S

Well I have to be happy with yesterdays efforts, five correct results with one being a correct score. Last week the Super Sunday results went the way most Spurs fans wanted in the end but will they do so again. We have three games to look forward to today a couple of which will have a bearing at both ends of the table but how do I think they might go? Let’s have a go:-

Week 22 Premier League predictions. 1

Last Saturday fifty percent of my predictions came to fruition in terms of result though I failed to correctly predict a score. Fortunately on Sunday I was wildly inaccurate and in view of my obvious allegiance to Tottenham was extremely happy with the way the results panned out. Again today I will try to predict just how todays games might go. No doubt the league table will look very different again by the time the dust has settled:-

Daniel Levy’s greatest investment too date? 0

Tottenham’s Chairman Daniel Levy has been much criticised over the course of his tenure at the helm of the club, sometimes the criticism has been valid of that there is little doubt, but in my opinion every move he makes has been calculated to move the club forward, this includes off the field as well as on. He has overseen the purchase of many players that will forever be remembered by supporters including some remembered for all the wrong reasons of course.

Week 21 Premier League predictions. 0

A very mixed bag with my predictions yesterday with just a fifty percent success rate and no correct scores. today throws up a couple of battles featuring the city of Liverpool versus Manchester and both games will have a significant bearing at the top of the table. It won’t be easy to with my obvious Tottenham allegiance to be impartial with my predictions, we see on a regular basis ex-pros, now better known as “expert” pundits, fail on a regular basis to be realistic rather than biased, but anyway let’s have a go. The first game up is:-

Week 21 Premier League match predictions 0

With just 18 fixtures remaining and all to play for let’s take a look and attempt to predict the outcome of todays matches. Just maybe the transfer shenanigans that have cropped up in this transfer window will come back to bite some and that might well open up opportunities at both ends of the table.

This is how I see Saturdays fixtures panning out:-

Tottenham Hotspur West Bromwich Albion  12:30 – Both teams are performing well this season and especially over the course of the last month or so. A difficult game to predict based upon recent results between the two teams which might suggest a low scoring draw. I strongly fancy Tottenham this time as you might expect but more for the quality and power  now in the team. 3-1.

Spurs are ready to go. 0

Though many will preach caution following yesterdays trouncing of Inter Milan surely it is not unreasonable to be just a little excited about the performance of not only the team but a number of individuals. Harry Kane was quickly out of the blocks and banging in goals, the indifferent form shown during the Euros over the summer quickly forgotten. He showed his versatility by carrying on where he left off as the main striker in the 1st half , in the 2nd half he was equally happy playing as the 2nd striker alongside the new boy  Vincent Janssen.

How are the squads shaping up? 1

Well we at JTN have enjoyed a nice long break and tried to avoid the farcical transfer merry-go-round as much as possible without getting too involved. As we all know the press and general media whip up a storm with often ridiculous rumour as clubs go about re-shaping their squads for the coming season and now we shall attempt to put our spin on the situation in relation to the probable top clubs which now, rightly, includes Leicester with Tottenham now firmly established in that group.

Sit back & relax as Spurs go about building their squad. 0

Several times a day Spurs are linked with players from across the globe as Daniel Levy, Mauricio Pochettino and their scouting team go about adding the players needed to strengthen the squad for the coming season. With Champions League football to look forward to it is just as vital, more so in fact, not to lose sight of the need to win the right to qualify again next season and regularly thereafter, let’s be honest our coach and just as importantly the players will be looking to a title challenge once again next season and they will add the quality and depth to try to ensure it happens.

The Premier League contenders 2016/17. 0

The 2015/16 season was absolutely nothing like many expected and whilst some argue that it was sub standard in quality it is mainly only those obsessed by huge transfer fees and wages, the opinion of the majority was that it was probably one of the best Premier League seasons ever with the hope and belief that the monopoly that has existed for far too long might just have been broken up for ever.
