Spurs are back and they’re all running scared of them. 0

Champions League qualification achieved, 2nd place still possible, great defence, attack and midfield and now we know that no team can push this Spurs team about. Over the years Tottenham have gained a reputation as a soft touch and every one of our fans is now sick to death of hearing the Roy Keane story of the Fergie team talk, of course this accusation has only been levelled at Tottenham in relation to challenging for a cup or top 4 or 5, whereas for the likes of Arsenal and others “going to Stoke on a cold winters night” whilst going for the title has been their undoing, well even that is not a problem for Pochettino and his troops.

The Premier League has changed forever! 3

As we approach the business end of the premiership season the title lies in the hands of the most unlikely of candidates with Leicester City holding most of the aces, their only real challenge comes from another unlikely source with Tottenham continuing to improve as the season has progressed.

Over the past couple of months as the “big” clubs, and by that I mean the “rich” clubs, have dropped off the pace and found themselves fighting for 3rd and 4th place as things stand at the moment, most pundits, journalists, supporters and even some Tottenham fans seemed convinced that normal service will be resumed next season as the wealth of the usual suspects will be used to force their will on the division once again.

Pochettino’s boys spark England hopes. 0

Just about every Tottenham supporter has been energised by the performance and quality produced by the squad assembled by Mauricio Pochettino this season, yet some seem to have found it necessary to suggest that most of their Premier League success has been founded on a poor domestic league and some sort of slip in standards at all of last seasons top four! Last night Roy Hodgson chose four of Tottenham’s successful performers of the season so far in his starting lineup to face the current world champions in their own back yard.

So the Lions of Tottenham have overcome yet another huge hurdle in pursuit of success with today’s victory over City in their own backyard. Let’s not forget this City team, assembled at great expense, had been the red-hot favourites to win the title for most of the season and had been stung by an unexpected defeat to Leicester a week ago. Most expected this young Tottenham team to pay for the hiding handed out to the hosts at the Lane in September with this being their opportunity to put right the recent wrongs and get their challenge back on track, instead we witnessed Pochettino’s young bucks dictate proceeding for much of the game.

Tottenham’s Lions will roar. 0

Mauricio Pochettino has a way with words despite sometimes finding it a little difficult to find the words he needs to explain a point during press conferences. Over the past few weeks he has been fairly happy to build up his teams potential even going so far as to suggest that they could, and I repeat COULD, actually mount a serious challenge for the title itself. Of course he has been careful to ensure his players still do not beyond their next fixture but has begun the process of building some real belief in their minds.

Are Spurs playing the Argentinian way? 0

Mauricio Pochettino has in the space of just 18 months almost completely transformed the way Tottenham play and train, he talks of a philosophy and a work ethic that he believes will ultimately enable Tottenham to win trophies. Obviously he is doing something right as the team has climbed to second place in the league and the coach himself is being touted for many of the top jobs in England and even the elite of Spain.

The force is strong with Tottenham. 0

As we head into what could be a defining weekend for the four clubs currently leading the title chase it does appear that recent form and performance levels of each individual team points to Tottenham currently being the dominant force. Of course it would be foolish to believe that things might not change but right now the power does seem to be with Mauricio Pochettino’s team as they continue in their pursuit of glory.

Try as they might the media is not going to throw Tottenham off track on this occasion, they rocked the boat in 2012 when Tottenham were comfortably placed in 3rd pace and aiming for the stars before the England job was handed to Harry Redknapp by everybody other than the people charged with choosing the outgoing mans successor. As we know even the man in the middle believed the hype and lost his focus leaving Tottenham, their players and fans completely let down.

For Tottenham the future is now. 0

The Tottenham squad have enjoyed a few days in Barcelona preparing for a busy period in both domestic and european cups as well as important league fixtures on the immediate horizon. Pictures and videos have been posted of the lads in training and taking in the sights of Barcelona and it is strikingly obvious that a great camaraderie has already been built within this group of players, they genuinely look like a group of lads that genuinely enjoy each others company.

Most every Tottenham supporter has by now already seen the video but just in case you have somehow missed it here it is again:-

Nobody wants to say it but Spurs CAN be Champions. 0

We have to “keep working hard” and “we must take one game at a time” are comments frequently mentioned when it comes to Tottenham and their pursuit of a place in the top four, everybody is quick to point out that we have fallen at the final hurdle on a few occasions in the past and disappointed when in good positions to succeed. Under the leadership of Harry Redknapp it happened on a couple of occasions most notably when we held a lead of a dozen points over Arsenal in late January before Harry lost interest chasing the England job.
