Hulk angling for Tottenham move, dream on.

How many times do we see reports, articles or even interviews from players unhappy with their lot at their respective clubs issuing what are tantamount to come and get me pleas. During the summer another certain Brazilian player at a club in the Eastern bloc gushed about joining a big club in the Premier League if his club at the time would only release him from the hell which made him famous and extremely rich, that player was Willian who first had the opportunity to join Liverpool, a huge club well respected all over Europe, until the opportunity arose to join up with AVB  at Tottenham came along, he chose that instead and signed a contract with them after taking his medical. It turned out that he used invisible ink on his contract and subsequently signed for Chelsea, the only motivation being money as a quick look at the respective squads would have clearly shown that he could only be a bit part player in West London, just 7 brief appearances mainly from the bench for a player of such experience is a poor return.

Now Hulk is also making the same sort of sounds and similar headlines are doing the rounds as the January transfer window approaches, he was purchased not so very long ago for insane money and paid a ridiculously extortionate wage but is he happy? perhaps not as much as you might think. Many Tottenham supporters probably had far more interest in the last Confederations Cup than in previous years, the centre of their attention was obviously Paulinho because Tottenham interest had been well documented, unfortunately for Hulk, already a famous name, his performances were tepid at best and the goals did not flow for him.

The Hulk without goals is not so attractive a proposition, he is not the hardest worker but does enough, he does of course have the potential to be a matchwinner but with an enormous fee comes a wage to exceed those of all the other squad members and a desire to start every game something AVB and Tottenham could never consider. Having a player like Hulk  has the potential to go one of two ways, either he is an unmitigated success and drives the team to glory or, as is more likely, he has difficulty making his mark in the most competitive league in the world and his involvement and star status totally unsettles the squad.

Perhaps if the player had been approaching the later stages of his contract and could be picked up relatively cheaply it might be a chance worth taking but he has years left having only moved from Porto a year ago and his current club will wish to recoup most of their outlay. Tottenham really don’t need the hassle of it all and with the likes of Townsend, Lennon and now Lamela able to perform on the right the gamble of his providing lots of extra goals is too much to take.

Hulk has suggested that he would like to work again with AVB, unfortunately for him it won’t be at Tottenham where we hope that AVB is set to stay for many years to come.

Please do not sign prima donnas, create them and sell them on for mega money

  2. Eric says:

Avb knows him well n if he’s so desperate then he’ll surely lower his wage demands.Along with a winger he can also play as a physical striker which we most certainly need. It’s unfair to rule him out bases on one poor competition so if the transfer isn’t crazy then he’s surely worth looking at,would even go to the extent of selling lennon n defoe to finance our striker need no matter who he is cause let’s face it we have outgrown them both
