With his new found status as the number 1 Tottenham left back and having earned the right to be considered a real contender for a place in the England or Jamaican squad, Danny Rose has been more vocal than ever before with media interest in what he has to say. Obviously with such a high profile and crucial game against United this weekend Rose has been speaking about the special relationship he has with the squad of players at Tottenham with somany having worked their way through the ranks with him.

Much of what Rose had to say was more than encouraging to hear if you are a Tottenham supporter, their exists a belief within the ranks that whilst there remains a chance this season to finish in the top four they will go for it, but the reality remains that if they can’t quite make it this season then they fully expect to next.

As a supporter I love to hear the words spoken by him and reported in the Star:-

Tottenham star Danny Rose: Our team spirit will make us a great side | Football | Premier League Transfer News, Scores, Results & More | Daily Star

The Spurs defender tips Tottenham to be a great team of the future – because of the special friendships currently being forged at White Hart Lane.

He said: “There is a camaraderie, a bond and it’s one of the best feelings I have ever had, playing with people who have been fighting for a chance.”

He reels off Harry Kane, Andros Townsend, Ryan Mason and then tells the tale of how before every game his great pal Nabil Bentaleb wraps are arm around him and says, ‘If you are ever in trouble, I will be there to help’.

He refers to the entire Tottenham squad as being a “Band of Brothers” with just one ideal and that is to become a great team and to achieve. The words of Nabil ¬†Bentaleb says everything about him, still only 20yrs of age he is a strong character almost certainly destined to lead the team at some time in the future. Tottenham have lost “The Beast” but have gained a leader.

Tottenham have a young squad which will be bolstered in the summer by yet more youngsters with ability, belief and the will to work to bring club and personal success.

Pochettino is the leader and he has been responsible for pulling everything together including the atmosphere at White Hart Lane, for too long it must have been hard to play in front of a critical bunch of supporters, but simply by instilling the ethos of hard work allied to talent to the team.

Whatever happens today clearly the future is bright.
