Kaboul and Sandro are back-2 more £20m players

Posted on July 12, 2013 by Guest Writer

At long last Younes Kaboul our best defender the season before last is back in full training, he is up to speed and on a par with the rest of the squad. I for one cannot wait to see how his partnership with Jan Vertonghen develops and firmly believe that as a central defensive partnership they will become one of the very best in the league.

AVB has also confirmed that Sandro will be back within the week, will travel to Hong Kong and begin full training with the squad while away. It is going to be very interesting to see just how AVB juggles his squad this coming season, options are plenty when you think he can go with Sandro and Dembele who formed one of the most effective partnerships last season, but now he can add another equally strong dynamic to the mix in the form of Paulinho, there will be times he will play all three, on other occasions he can add different players to the mix like Tom Carroll, Lewis Holtby or Gylfi Sigurdsson.

No matter what happens this transfer window the squad just got even better, three players added to the mix, Paulinho for big money and Younes and Sandro following long injuries. Two more signings at most will probably do it for this window and both will probably be of the offensive variety, and when I say probably I mean definitely.

what is 20M? Kaboul has to prove he is worth 10M first, coming back from a severe injury. Sandro was missed in last part of season

    • Tony says:

He hasn’t got to prove anything just get match fit. He was only second to Kompany the year before and is about to hit his peak as a central defender. Sandro was a huge miss and his injury also contributed to losing fourth or better.

I am a fan, but not deluded. Kaboul has played JUST 5 times for France, not enough good qualities to be selected for a national team who are not a top team in world anymore.

        • Tony says:

Did you actually see how good he was and his stats for the season before last, when I would remind you Spurs finished fourth, ahead of chelsea. Kaboul is top notch, quick, powerful and technically very accomplished, a big imposing centre back who like Jan the man can play out from the back, but he is so much quicker.
