With the news that Son Heung-min has declined to extend his club contract speculation arises once more as to whether the Hamburg player will be a target of Tottenham and AVB, This is a player with great pace and stamina, not unlike Gareth Bale in that respect, not 21 yrs old until July he has had a superb season in the Bundesliga with a dozen goals and a number of assists in just 33 games. Even at such a young age and just starting out on his career he already has 20 goals in just 78 appearances for the club spanning 3 seasons.

This is a player still only full of potential but possessing massive possibilities for any club willing to take the chance, his cost will be in the region of £10m but if he fulfills anything like his potential his value to his club will be enormous in view of his appeal to the Asian market. Simply from a football perspective this is a player that could suit Tottenham and the principles of AVB, in a forward three alongside Gareth Bale and the expected new striker he could form a formidable threesome each able to provide Tottenham with the goal haul needed of something like 50 goals or more between them.

Son will obviously attract the attention of a number of clubs, probably not quite yet the half dozen elite but more so those knocking on the door, Bayer Leverkusen and Borussia Dortmund have apparently shown interest in the player and each of those clubs have a high profile in Germany,in a league with which he is comfortable and so which might swing it in their favour along with Champions League football, but if the interest from Tottenham is real then this is a player that would likely bring a little extra to the table for Tottenham.
