Premier League predictions 15/3/2014

Posted on March 15, 2014 by Eddie S

As we speak ten man City are holding on to their one nil lead and having missed a couple of clear cut chances to put the game to bed there will be some concern as to whether they can hang on. Though too late to comment on the outcome of this game the rest of today’s itinerary has yet to follow and my predictions and comment, though a little more short and sweet than usual, is as follows:-

  • Everton v Cardiff 15:00
  • This is a simple choice for me as Everton at home will be far too powerful for a struggling cardiff buoyed a little from victory over Fulham. Home win 3-1.
  • Fulham v Newcastle 15:00
  • Last chance saloon for Fulham though unless their new boss really is a miracle worker surely too late to save them. Newcastle blow hot and cold but probably have too much for the home team. Away win 2-1
  • Southampton v Norwich 15:00
  • Norwich need to pick up points before their ridiculously difficult run in to the season and though Southampton have little to play for but pride and position at home they should take the points Home win 2-0.
  • Stoke v West Ham 15:00
  • Two powerful teams finding the results to ensure safety from relegation having both been in serious trouble not so long ago. nothing to choose between the two. Draw 1-1.
  • Sunderland v Crystal Palace 15:00
  • This should be a tense game as both teams need the points to try to claw their way to safety. After the cup defeat it will be interesting to see the reaction from Sunderland. home advantage should see them home though it will likely be close. Home win 2-1.
  • Swansea v West Brom 15:00
  • Quite simply Swansea will pass West Brom to defeat by a narrow margin. Home win 1-0.
  • Aston Villa v Chelsea 17:30
  • Though Villa have the players, the power and the pace to cause Chelsea problems it is difficult to see anything other than a win for the leaders who will as usual try to strangle the opposition into submission. Away win 2-1.

It’s only a bit of fun so no damage done but feel free to make your own predictions next week. It’s easy to disagree after the event.

i think any thing less than a victory will a bad result for spurs against the goons, considering the no of players they r missing.they r without ozil, jack, rams and theo i believe those r their best attacking players.

i like to admit tony u come acros avery likabe person, althoogh u can be alitle biased as all fans will sm times.your views and opinion r good, unlike sm stupid gooners who hve already writen of ozl u still back ur new signings to come good.
    plse forgive my bad english.

    • Tony says:

all fans are biased to some extent it comes with the territory. After recent disappointments and all the moans and groans optimism returns before we face arsenal today as well as the belief that if Sherwood picks the right team, the right tactics and the players hit form they are actually better than the opposition with home advantage. Lose and the reasons will be picked at and moaned at because that is what supporters are left with.
