Premier League predictions game 22

Posted on January 19, 2014 by Eddie S

After yesterdays set of results when I successfully predicted five correct results from seven with two perfect scores the remaining fixtures will not cause me too many headaches surely, but then this is a funny old season and almost anything can happen as was the case at Anfield yesterday. We have two fixtures today and another tomorow night and they feature four teams battling for a Champions League place at the very least and a couple that would currently be content at the moment to remain well away from the relegation battle.

  • Swansea v Tottenham 13:30
  • First game up and Tottenham have the opportunity to put some additional pressure on both United who have a difficult fixture against Chelsea in the late kick-off and Everton who face WBA tomorrow night with their new man in charge. tottenham have been on a good run in the league even if they have surrendered in the keeps a little too easily and they face a Swansea team not really playing badly but not getting the results that some of their performances actually deserve. I’m finding this a tough one to call as I am not a fan of Tim’s two up front in every game and Swansea like Arsenal might be one of those that needs a match up in midfield. Draw 2-2. premier league
  • Chelsea v Man Utd 16:00
  • At home Mourinho knows how to get results and against the faltering champions without their two special players Rooney and RVP Chelsea should have far too much in the tank. Moyes on the other hand will set United up to be difficult to breakdown and because of that Chelsea might just have a problem, they are not exactly freeflowing but rather more dour and difficult to play against, they seem to find a way but I don’t think so on this occasion. Draw 1-1.

 Mon 20 Jan 2014 – Premier League

  • West Brom v Everton
  • Everton will have the chance to go fourth having seen Liverpool slip up, they will be without their young star Ross Barkley who seems set to miss the next month or so, a big loss, WBA have their new Spanish coach in charge for the first time which will make for an interesting match up against his fellow countyman Roberto Martinez. West Brom are already playing some decent stuff with their caretaker Downing in charge, the new man and new ideas as well as home advantage will probably give them the edge. Home win 2-0.
