Premier League predictions round 11(Sunday)

Posted on November 09, 2013 by Eddie S

Just the four games this Sunday and three of them will have a bearing on the positions at the top of the table, this is how we believe these games will go:

Sun 10 Nov 2013 – Premier League

First game up and based upon the expected results of today’s games the chance for Tottenham to regain a top four spot. this is not going to be a forgone conclusion as Newcastle on their day are capable of causing an upset, it could probably be said that they are massively underperforming as some of their players are the envy of many top clubs. Tottenham have not had a great deal of time to turn their attention to this game due to their European fixture on Thursday but will make a number of changes to their team. At some stage the Tottenham forward line will click and the goals will flow, but as much as I would like to see it happen tomorrow Pardew will set Newcastle up to defend, as he did at home to Chelsea last week, I also believe that they have the players to score and so perhaps surprisingly I’m only going 1-1.

Sunderland struggling but motivated by a good win over Newcastle and a cup win over Southampton in midweek, City having struggled a little on the road but always capable of scoring lots of goals. the loss of David Silva to injury for a month will have an effect on City but not on this occasion and I go for a tough game but an away win by 1-2.premier league

The big one and so important to United and the rest of the teams at the top, Arsenal already lead by five points at the top and this is the type of fixture that they have traditionally lost. united could trail Arsenal by eleven points by the end of the day should they lose and it would be difficult for them to claw that back unless Arsenal inexplicably folded during the season. Everybody, including many Arsenal supporters, are probably surprised by the change of fortune since that opening day defeat, the defence so often a soft touch seems rock solid and they have always had a goal or two in them so it is all going to plan. The result on this occasion is too important for both teams and so it’s a draw for me 2-2.

Swansea try to out pass most teams and they will enjoy the bulk of possession against Stoke, but having had a tough European game and journey on Thursday Stoke will have a good chance of getting a result on their travels tomorrow, they know how to play against teams that play keep ball and having recovered from a bad patch I fancy them to get a result at Swansea 1-1.

whether you get them right or wrong the object is to give an honest opinion and not base it on where your allegiance lies or the coach once played for your club. Only 2 correct yesterday but 1 of them perfect, the Premier league is going to be amazing this year with lots of upsets, great performances from WBA and Palace who got their clean sheeet and southampton are going ruffle lots of feathers and could be the surprise of the season.
