Premier League Predictions Round 15.

Posted on December 08, 2013 by Eddie S

Another poor set of predictions yesterday but sometimes you have to wonder what is going on, this season is so unpredictable that you are hard pressed to know what is round the corner. United losing at home twice in the same week and for the third time already this season while Chelsea ship goals for fun and to the amusement of those of us who support a team without a billionaire backer. Manchester City remain unrecognisable while on their travels and really were fortunate in the end not to suffer another away defeat.

No doubt things will settle down sometime soon but at the moment I have to admit that the bulk of football fans are actually rather enjoying that the likes of United and Chelsea are as vulnerable as anybody at the moment. So let’s try to second guess how the two games will go today:

  • Fulham v Aston Villa 13:30
  • Fulham finally dispensed with the services of Martin Jol following another heavy defeat last week but their new man managed to galvanise the team for the midweek fixture against Tottenham and they were perhaps a little unlucky when losing to two outstanding goals and a great goalkeeping display from Lloris. Almost every week I predict that Benteke will finally regain form and terrorise the opposition but he really is on a poor run at the moment. In the midweek game, away to Southampton, Villa finally got their act together but started the game with Benteke on the bench but went on to score three goals and stun the opposition. With the pace in the villa team and the lack of it at Fulham I can only see this going one way. Away win 1-3.
  • premier league
  • Arsenal v Everton 16:00
  • The game of the weekend and the most difficult to call. Arsenal have forged ahead in the league and must be full of confidence at this moment, all of the usual competitors for the title are struggling, some to a greater extent than others and they have the opportunity to extend their lead at the top to seven points today. todays opponents Everton have become one of the most consistent performers in the league this season, they have retained the ability of being difficult to beat and have only lost away to City. Just maybe there will be a little extra pressure on Arsenal today as they face City and Chelsea after this game and they will wish to take as big a points lead as possible into those games. Somehow I don’t think we shall see another massive shock today but i do fancy that Everton are capable of holding out for a result. draw 0-0.

Just please don’t predict Spurs for a top 4 finish – or it definitely won’t happen XD

To be fair to eddie his predictions have also been unlucky omen for city and chelsea.he can keep that up but as you rightly say keep Spurs out of it. Form goes out of the window this year with some strange results happening.
