Premiership predictions round 24 (Sunday)

Posted on February 02, 2014 by Eddie S

Just the two games today and once again affecting the top and bottom of the division before the clash of the titans tomorrow. Yesterdays predictions were distinctly average but this season is proving to be like no other before and it seems likely that just as it will take a record points total that wins a top four position, a record high will also see teams relegated.

  • West Brom v Liverpool 13:30
  • The early kick off will give Liverpool the chance to close the gap not just on arsenal who play later today but also one or both of the two that play for top spot tomorrow. WBA have flattered to deceive too often this season, they have managed to up their scoring rate but with that has come some defensive problems and that does not bode well with Suarez and Sturridge scoring goals galore. So often Liverpool when faced with such an opportunity have failed to take advantage but this will not be one of them. Away win 1-3.
  • Arsenal v Crystal Palace 16:00
  • This is a little more difficult to call as Palace have strengthened and are playing to their strengths and have become very organised as you would expect from a Tony Pullis team. Arsenal should win comfortably but performances have become a little lethargic at times as they continue to clock up injuries. Palace certainly added some decent players to their squad in the transfer window but with a few probably arriving a little too late to make the team today. The home team will know that they have been in a game and might be in for a small shock. Draw 1-1.

Did West Brom just get a 90th min equaliser against Liverpool to draw – Fantastic !!
