Van de Vaart possibly heading to Germany 0

Posted on June 26, 2012 by Tony

And so more reports of Rafa heading back to Germany this time to his previous club Hamburg. This one shouldn’t really surprise anyone if it happens, his wife works in Germany,Tottenham would still be able to recoup their initial outlay with maybe a small profit on top.

Van de Vaart has provided some great moments for Spurs fans and he is obviously a great talent,he is able to supply moments of magic only a few could replicate,he does though have issues, certainly lacking in raw pace and a question mark over stamina(this though might be a little unfair as he gives 100% effort all over the park).

Mass Exodus from Tottenham 0

Posted on June 17, 2012 by Scraggs

These are the reports from many papers, all these players are so unhappy with the treatment of Harry Redknapp that they wish to leave,no matter that they have contracts and long ones at that.

These players supposedly include Defoe ,Corluka and many others.Corluka has been out on loan for months and has expressed his wish to leave because he has been continuously overlooked,Defoe has been cosidering his options in the last 2 transfer windows because of lack of opportunity, and lets face it he has been with Redknapp more than most at Spurs W.Ham and Portsmouth.

John Terry derailed Tottenham’s season in that game at QPR 0

Posted on June 14, 2012 by Tony

The game at QPR when the alleged Terry/Ferdinand incident occurred had more far reaching effects than could be imagined at the time and until the season starts or the transfer season ends we don’t know how it will all end, especially in regard to Tottenham Hotspurs.

Until then Fabio Capello was settled in as England manager having successfully guided us through to Euro 2012, Redknapp was roaring along with Spurs chasing the Manchester duo and well ahead of Arsenal. Champions League qualification was a foregone conclusion we all felt. Harry won his tax case and we beat Newcastle 5-0, and then the captaincy issue at England occurred. Capello was gone, Harry was installed as favourite to take over in his place, and Spurs season subsequently collapsed!

Does move for Olsson mean Tottenham have lost Vertonghen 0

Posted on June 13, 2012 by Tony

There are many reports linking Spurs to Jonas Olsson from West Bromwich Albion, but does this mean the deal for Vertonghen is in danger of collapsing.

This deal makes little sense if Vertonghen is in fact a done deal as we already have Kaboul,Dawson,Gallas and Caulker and have still to decide the future of Bassong and King.

What does this mean if true, is it the end for Gallas and/or Dawson?is Caulker going out on loan for another season to ensure sufficient games to progress at premiership level?I can see the reasoning behind all these scenarios with the exception of Dawson, but I hope that the other reasons possible being the end of the Vertonghen deal or Kaboul going back to France(PSG have always shown an interest in him)are not the case.

Modric to PSG 0

Posted on June 13, 2012 by Eddie S

Whilst all Spurs fans would rather he declare his wish to continue his career at White Hart Lane, the next best alternative is for Modric to play in another league. We do not wish to see him in the colours of a competitor.

It is being widely reported that PSG have entered the race for his signature although the supposed bid of £30m is not nearly enough, fortunately PSG have extremely wealthy benefactors, and, only last year they paid out approx.40m euros for Pastore who in my opinion is not of the same class as Modric.

Tottenham should have sold Modric to Chelsea last summer! 1

Posted on June 08, 2012 by Eddie S

The news is surfacing today that Tottenham and Man United have agreed to do a deal for Luka Modric at the paltry price of just £25million, and he will earn around £125,000 a week.

That doesn’t stand up well with the £40 million on offer at the end of last summers transfer window from Chelsea which was flatly refused by Daniel Levy.

To make it worse Chelsea probably made certain that Modric would be leaving by beating Bayern Munich in the Champions League final thereby demoting Spurs to the Europa League. You can bet your life Modric said last year that if we failed to make the Champions League he’d be off!
