Cheating Chelsea says fearful Wenger. 5

Posted on January 24, 2014 by Scraggs

Following news of the likely transfer of Juan Mata to a Manchester United team that has faltered and become easy prey to any team with sufficient belief, Arsene Wenger has publicly stated that he believes that the deal is as much a plot by Chelsea and Mourinho to manipulate the destiny of the league title. Coming so soon after Chelsea completed their two games against the fading champions Wenger has stated that he thinks the deal has been approved in an attempt to improve United sufficiently to pick up points when they play City and Arsenal so giving Chelsea an advantage in the chase for the title.

Can Spurs really grab that top four spot? 16

With just seventeen games of the season remaining Tottenham are sat in a good position just a couple of points off fourth place although their goal difference probably accounts for another point lost as it has done in previous seasons. The teams immediately in front of Spurs are Everton and Liverpool who both have very different attributes, Everton are tough, resolute, difficult to beat yet under Martinez have also begun to play some excellent football while Liverpool have plenty of goals in them especially while Suarez remains fit or free of suspension.

January transfer window promises to be busiest ever. 0

As the January transfer window approaches and clubs evaluate their requirements based upon form, injuries and what they might look for to consolidate their position or improve upon it, this particular period is likely to see more sales/purchases and a huge amount of funds change hands.

AVB warning to Arsenal is no big deal. 0

As usual the tabloids use any sort of comment to sensationalise and try to cause a little more disharmony between teams competing against each other, if it happens to be between near neighbours with fierce rivalry so much the better, their fans will all take it on board and react accordingly.

Vlad, don’t count on a move to Chelsea. 3

Vlad Chiriches agent has already begun spouting rubbish and implying that the players move to Tottenham is merely a stepping stone to a big money move to Chelsea in a year or two. Apparently Mourinho had been keeping tabs on his development even during his time with Real Madrid. Once he has made the grade then he expects Chelsea to make a huge offer for the player in order to take him to Stamford Bridge.

What’s all the fuss, Torres deserved his 2 yellows and another red. 21

Jose Mourinho is again trying to manipulate the media in England just like he did all those years ago during his first spell with Chelsea, during his time at Real Madrid he tried to use the press to divert attention away from his own poor decisions, unrest in the camp and lack of success. Chelsea have started the season poorly by their standards, the worst start in fact of the Abramovitch era, worse still apart from the first half against Hull performances have been poor.

Tottenham v Chelsea-Afterthoughts. 10

Posted on September 29, 2013 by Tony

For much of the second half of yesterdays game most Tottenham supporters were a little concerned that Chelsea might turn such obvious first half inferiority into all three points. Fortunately at periods in the second half the defence earned their corn as Hugo Lloris polled off a couple of good stops while Jan Vertonghen would not be beaten by a Fernando Torres who might have just had his best half hour in all his time with Chelsea.

North London clubs taking over from Northern softies? 0

Take a look at the Premier League table and you will see Arsenal, Tottenham and Chelsea leading the way while both Manchester clubs continue to fall further behind. Yesterday United were beaten at home by a West Bromwich team who have failed to win at Old Trafford for thirty five years, it was no flaky win either as WBA were the stronger team overall, Van Persie and Rooney were both on the pitch but failed to make much of an impression.

AVB’s Tottenham team set to reduce Mourinho to tears. 7

There is little doubt that Tottenham face a formidable team tomorrow as AVB faces his mentor Jose Mourinho for the first time, of course it’s not really about them as Tottenham face a team that has an incredible record at the Lane and in general against them, even managing to prevent their entry into the Champions League a couple of years back despite finishing two places behind them.

Tottenham have caught Arsenal and Chelsea, Manchester clubs next? 22

Judging by the vitriol aimed Tottenham’s way and the happiness surrounding Gareth Bale’s departure in many parts of London it at last seems to have got through that AVB has put together a squad that gives Tottenham every chance of doing well this coming season.
