AVB criticism of Tottenham unfair. 0

It has been reported that Andre Villas-Boas has spoken out against his two previous employees, Chelsea and Tottenham and though it is true that the Chelsea owner did move the goalposts and his complaint against him is valid his complaint about Daniel Levy failing to tie up the transfers of four players he asked for is in the main quite ridiculous if true.

We know that he wished to purchase Moutinho from Porto and it seems that major efforts were made to tie up a deal for much of the transfer window only for third-party ownership to ruin it all, it can and does happen as we also saw this past transfer window as Tottenham tried to buy Musacchio from Villarreal only to experience all the same headaches before finally settling for Frederico Fazio.

Ownership issues over it’s time to support Tottenham. 7

Here at JTN we always believed that the interest of Cain Hoy was exagerated at best and probably non existant in reality, everybody now knows their name and that they have money to invest and that was as ENIC always said their intention at the time. While all this nothingness has been going on many tottenham supporters took the opportunity to register their unhappiness with ENIC and Levy again and again, their agenda now becoming a bit more than tiresome.

No joy can come from Cain Hoy 1

Cain Hoy Enterprises was only formed last week and yet the headlines surrounding their proposed interest in Tottenham and potential cash bid has been on the back pages ever since. some of the ENIC and Levy haters see this as the perfect opportunity to see an end to our owners involvement but they will be extremely disappointed when this all goes away by early October. A figure of £1billion has been mooted because that is the sort of figure that ENIC hope to drive the club up to

90 minutes of Football Heaven at Tottenham 3

We travelled to White Hart Lane yesterday knowing that a win by four clear goals would take us to the top of the league but we didn’t really believe it was possible. What followed was a performance from this Tottenham team that we didn’t dare dream was possible. We have seen some decent performances, thirty minutes or a half of fantastic football, while Tim Sherwood was in charge too many occasions when fight backs brought about good results and far, far too many occasions when we have spoken of a game of two halves.

Is Daniel Levy about to land Swans the sucker punch? 2

It was weeks ago now that Tottenham made their interest in Ben Davies known to Swansea but negotiations seemed to go on forever until he was finally landed less than 2 weeks ago. Apparently the delay centred around the valuation placed upon the 21 yr old by Swansea, Tottenham wanted him but felt that the price tag placed upon him of some £12m was off the mark and so the work began. The media was used to try to manipulate the situation, they declared interest in the player from Liverpool and even mentioned Arsenal on more than one occasion.

Their Chairman Huw Jenkins has obviously done really well in establishing Swansea as a relevant Premier League club and  so the press even suggested that our own Chairman Daniel Levy had finally met his match,

Barca set to trigger Vertonghen release clause! 3

There isn’t much that can surprise me in football as clearly just about anything is possible in this day and age, if a player on 3220k pw wants to leave because nobody made a fuss of his 31st birthday! if any club is prepared to pay over £40m for Ozil and if wayne Rooney who is clearly well past his best can win a new contract to pay him £300k pw then clearly all bets are off BUT though it is conceivable that Jan Vertonghen could head to Barcelona during this transfer window it is not at all possible that it will be because of a buyout clause.

Daniel Levy misrepresented. 2

After another disappointing season that resulted in not one but two coaches leaving the club Daniel Levy is once again in the middle of a process to find the coach that will hopefully achieve the aims of the owners, club, players and supporters of  tottenham hotspur, we all have a vested interest and hope that this time the man appointed is the one that finally arrives at the right time to take us over that line and to some sort of glory. For the last six months or so the media and fanbase have been allocating blame for what has been a disappointing season on AVB and Tim Sherwood though most of their angst has been directed against ENIC and Daniel Levy citing 9 sackings since taking control of the club in 2001.

Sherwood already looking for new job! 6

After the second half capitulation at Chelsea Sherwood firstly placed the blame firmly at the feet of the players that he chose to start the game, something that is rarely effective and is always treated as the wrong thing to do if you wish to retain the hearts and souls of your squad, it is all very well to air your views and opinions behind closed doors but to publicly humiliate your own players probably spells the end for him and Tottenham’s entire season.

I don’t envy AVB his team selections. 9

Andre Villas-Boas has at his disposal a squad of approximately twenty-six players this season, they have been assembled by Tottenham at great expense and come with a combined market value of way over a quarter of a billion pounds and are paid between them somewhere in the region of ninety million pounds in wages every year and increasing. AVB himself picks up a decent wage but with that huge income comes immense pressure as he has to manage the ambitions of the club, the players, himself, his staff and every single Tottenham supporter worldwide.

I’m not bitter but it was Levy’s fault says ‘Arry 8

So Harry Redknapp will soon be releasing his autobiography and what mind blowing information will it tell us that we don’t already know, well apparently all the usual culprits who pick themselves for the England team all sent him a text extolling his virtues, no doubt in an effort to guarantee their spot in the squad for as long as they wanted it, Wayne Rooney a good player but not the great that everyone used to say would lead England to glory, Terry, Ferdinand and Gerrard all contacted him to signify their support.
