With his new found status as the number 1 Tottenham left back and having earned the right to be considered a real contender for a place in the England or Jamaican squad, Danny Rose has been more vocal than ever before with media interest in what he has to say. Obviously with such a high profile and crucial game against United this weekend Rose has been speaking about the special relationship he has with the squad of players at Tottenham with somany having worked their way through the ranks with him.

Latest Tottenham News- More signings possible. 8

Somewhat surprisingly to many Danny Rose has been called up to the England squad after a run of two games in the Tottenham team and no goals conceded, at the same time Callum Chambers move to Arsenal and the huge fee involved has also convinced Roy Hodgson to call him up. Now I am all for introducing youngsters to the England set up but based upon regular performances of quality and not just a couple of decent showings,

Tottenham welcome Eric Dier. 2

This seems like a deal that has taken a year to come to fruition as last summer Tottenham were linked with the player, apparently at the time Sporting were insistent on retaining a huge sell on clause but the players continued insistence on refusing to sign a new contract left the door open for Daniel Levy and he charged through.

Dier is not yet the finished product though he  has been carefully groomed, he has appeared in the first team on 30 occasions over 2 seasons and is still only 20 years of age.

Has Pochettino seen enough in Rose and Fryers to abandon Davies pursuit? 4

Swansea Chairman Huw Jenkins has recently admitted that since early contact from Tottenham in relation to their left back Ben Davies there has been no evidence of their following up the enquiry. were Tottenham put off by an apparent valuation of £12m for a player that they value at £8m- £10m, are they simply biding their time or looking elsewhere? Perhaps the answer is a lot closer to home particularly as the squad have now been back for pre-season training for over a week.

Holtby out, Taarabt in and no new left back. 0

Though the press are searching for any sort of sensationalism as the season draws to a close some of the headlines greeting us today are really very amusing. Tim Sherwood is vociferous in defending Danny Rose and suggesting that Tottenham and their supporters should not give up on him. Lewis Holtby is apparently awaiting on a decision from the club over where his future lies and probably the most far-fetched story of the day is surely the suggestion that Tottenham are keen and in the driving seast to snap up one of their biggest disappointments Adel Taarabt.

Tottenham v City Review. 10

Yesterdays game against City clearly showed that Tottenham had it all to do against the team of the moment and one that is surely destined to win the title, probably with some ease, entering the business end of the season, though in my opinion there were far too many mistakes made that gave them an easier outing than they were entitled to. We shall never know whether the outcome might have been different had the correct decisions been made, though City were the better team throughout so were they against Cardiff and Villa, games that they lost.

How will theTottenham team look for Villa? 10

After what had been a very satisfactory start to the season things started to to unravel slightly in the second half against Chelsea, Mourinho made the changes at half time that transformed procedings after a superb opening forty-five from Tottenham. The squad then travelled to Russia to take on Anzhi and they came away with what was a comfortable win after making eight changes, it turned out to be a better result than performance as the game was littered with errors and a distinct lack of goalscoring opportunities, to be fair we were happy to put that down to the state of the pitch which obviously contributed massively to a disjointed performance.

Not all the players were sad to see Redknapp leave. 15

During the early stages of Harry Redknapp’s reign at Tottenham most people in the game seemed to suggest that the dressing room was totally together and happy to work for him and his team of coaches, it certainly seemed so and probably was for many of the squad. Clearly the longer into his period at the club it got, the more divided the squad became and might well be one of the major reasons why the team flagged toward the end of each season.

It’s been a busy week for Tottenham. 0

After a relatively quiet period following the early purchase of Paulinho very little happened at Tottenham for some time other than the failure to complete the deal for David Villa. For the best part of two weeks it was all about the discussions and negotiations for Christian Benteke which came to a head with the news that he had decided to sign a lucrative new deal with Aston Villa. Many Tottenham supporters were disappointed that it seemed penny pinching had cost the deal when in reality he was not even a Tottenham target.

Tottenham and AVB still have faith in Benni. 0

It seems that AVB has spoken and the result is that he still considers that Benoit Assou-Ekotto is a very important part of the Tottenham squad for the coming season. It appears that Benni actually helped the team for the last four months or so by playing when not fully recovered from his long injury, which would explain his struggle for form and pace.
