As Arsenal flounder Tottenham face must win game at Anfield. 0

Though it still might not be enough come the end of the season Tottenham really do face a defining moment when they step out at Anfield on Sunday, they have been given some hope that this season might yet be retrieved. Arsenal have contrived to put together their worst results of the season just as the crucial stage of the season unfolds and with Manchester City up next and a visit to Goodison the following week Tottenham have the opportunity to heap pressure on their neighbours.

FA Cup predictions. 0

Another week and yet another disastrous set of predictions, it doesn’t seem to matter what the competition at the moment, results and performances are incredibly difficult to get right and to be fair I was in the company of most other “experts”. It seemed that only the City v Chelsea tie was in dispute and most pundits probably went with their bias rather than anything else. So it’s on to today’s games and once again there will likely be a surprise.

Premier league predictions (Sunday) 2

Posted on February 09, 2014 by Eddie S

First up it’s Tottenham against Everton in the 1-30pm kick off, not quite a six pointer just yet but both clubs will want some sort of result. Tottenham with home advantage will be hoping to finally improve their form at White Hart Lane, on their travels their record stands up to scrutiny with the best but they have lost far too many points at the Lane.  Everton visit off the back of a hard fought victory against Villa following a beating by Liverpool, only their third defeat in the league all season. Martinez will set them up to be hard to beat  hoping to pinch a goal and all three points and they are very capable of doing so.

What chance Chadli to top four chasing Everton? 2

When it seemed that Nacer Chadli might be on his way out of Tottenham a week or two ago soon after a couple of interviews attributed to his agent seemed to imply he wished to go, Chadli himself subsequently backtracked and declared his happiness at being a Tottenham player and insisted that he was willing to fight for a place in the team having been assured that he remained an important member of the squad. Since then he has started both recent fixtures and though never outstanding he does a job and is a hardworking member of the team, more importantly there is a genuine belief that there is still lots more to come from a talented player.

Premier League Predictions Round 15. 2

Posted on December 08, 2013 by Eddie S

Another poor set of predictions yesterday but sometimes you have to wonder what is going on, this season is so unpredictable that you are hard pressed to know what is round the corner. United losing at home twice in the same week and for the third time already this season while Chelsea ship goals for fun and to the amusement of those of us who support a team without a billionaire backer. Manchester City remain unrecognisable while on their travels and really were fortunate in the end not to suffer another away defeat.

January transfer window promises to be busiest ever. 0

As the January transfer window approaches and clubs evaluate their requirements based upon form, injuries and what they might look for to consolidate their position or improve upon it, this particular period is likely to see more sales/purchases and a huge amount of funds change hands.

Will Tottenham take advantage of managerial merry go round. 0

With four of the top six clubs in England changing manager/coach this summer, a couple enforced and a couple because of dissatisfaction, it is hoped that Tottenham might take some sort of advantage from their own relative calmness leading up to the start of the season ( Gareth Bale/ Real Madrid fiasco apart ). Only ourselves and fourth placed Arsenal have managed to ensure a bit of stability which could be beneficial in the early stages at least.

Fellaini seems set for exit, but not to Tottenham. 1

Everton were comprehensively beaten in todays home FA Cup fixture to Wigan, some might even say that Everton were outclassed as Wigan pulled the trigger with three outstanding goals in the space of just four first half minutes.

Everton supporters might not realise it now but the performance and reaction of Fellaini to this defeat was already demoralising to him, more telling was the crowds reaction to the player himself. Fellaini has been the heartbeat of the team for a while now as they have come to rely upon matchwinning performances and goals from him, he had been less than impressive in a poor Everton display but the crowd reaction as their talisman was being substituted must surely have convinced him that his time was finally up.

What do Tottenham, United, Swansea and Everton have in common? 0

Of the twenty teams currently in the Premier League I would suggest that only these four clubs sets of supporters are truly happy with their coaches. AVB after a slow start, which really was to be expected, has gone on to oversee some fantastic results for Tottenham, he is doing so by handling his squad admirably, by the use of rotation he has managed to forge a strong bond within the entire squad but more than that is finding better performance levels from so many of the players, and that includes Lennon, Defoe and Bale. Tottenham supporters were pretty much split over the decision to appoint AVB and sack Redknapp, so far it is proving to be an inspired decision.

Tottenham, Everton and Newcastle threaten to gatecrash the Champions League. 2

Posted on September 30, 2012 by Tony

For ten or more years we have listened to the ex-pro tv pundits like Hansen and Lawrenson predicting the usual top four, that still remains so to this day but now consists of Manchester City, Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal. Liverpool one of the previous encumbents were overthrown by Tottenham a couple of seasons back, much to the dismay and shock of said pundits, Chelsea followed last season but retained their entry only by winning the competition against all odds.
