By now every Tottenham supporter will be aware that Pochettino is close to signing another defensive midfielder by the name of Stambouli, a pitbull with class sums him up, it’s not yet over the line but it must be close, the only reservation being the announcement by his club Montpellier begging the question why the announcement? perhaps they are still trying to start an auction for the player!

Great reception deserved for ‘Arry but sack was his own doing. 1

The chances are we might hear a few times” 2 points in 8 games” but it is true that when Daniel Levy appointed Harry Redknapp as the replacement for Juande Ramos the team were struggling, Trdknapp came in and quickly knocked what was a very good squad into shape and the rest is history. On Redknapp’s appointment many Tottenham suppOrters scratched their heads and wondered whether there might have been far better choices available, as it turns out both were great for one another and so began a wonderful period for both parties.

Harry Redknapp opinions are worthless. 0

Following the events of Tuesday and the inevitable sacking of Tim Sherwood it was only going to be a matter of time before the media led by ‘Arry and Jamie took the opportunity to lay all the blame at the door of the club and AVB in order to defend their friend, associate and previous business partner. Jamie had already branded Tottenham a selling club forgetting perhaps that he had almost implored Modric and Bale to leave and had stated time and again that players cannot be held against their will. Yesterday the leader of the clan Harry Redknapp spouted his words of wisdom :-

A little reminder to all you who want your Tottenham back. 5

As we approach December and with less than a third of the season gone Tottenham are apparently a club in trouble and the man in the firing line and responsible for their demise is Andre Villas-Boas, the media are already putting forward names to replace him while the odds are on him being the next to be sacked. The longer Daniel Levy delays the decision to sack this failure the less the chances Tottenham have of escaping relegation and they might still hope to have a run in the last cup remaining the FA Cup which stars for them in January.

I’m not bitter but it was Levy’s fault says ‘Arry 8

So Harry Redknapp will soon be releasing his autobiography and what mind blowing information will it tell us that we don’t already know, well apparently all the usual culprits who pick themselves for the England team all sent him a text extolling his virtues, no doubt in an effort to guarantee their spot in the squad for as long as they wanted it, Wayne Rooney a good player but not the great that everyone used to say would lead England to glory, Terry, Ferdinand and Gerrard all contacted him to signify their support.

Is Andros Townsend the answer to England’s right midfield problem? 0

For what seems an eternity England have had a problem on the right side of midfield, coaches have been chopping and changing between Aaron Lennon, Adam Johnson, James Milner and Theo Walcott, why even David Bentley was once heralded as the successor to David Beckham. All have had their moments when they seem sure to cement their position in the team but sadly it rarely lasts.

Harry Redknapp managed to secure loan deals for two of Tottenham fans favourites late yesterday with Benoit Assou-Ekotto moving across on a one year loan, he left with absolutely no ill will toward Tottenham and wished the club success this coming season. In many ways his leaving is a little disappointing as he proved to be well liked by most of the fans as well as an exceptionally player. He was as we know a bit of a maverick in more ways than one, always looking to play the beautiful game which sometimes involved him costing the team goals.

Not all the players were sad to see Redknapp leave. 15

During the early stages of Harry Redknapp’s reign at Tottenham most people in the game seemed to suggest that the dressing room was totally together and happy to work for him and his team of coaches, it certainly seemed so and probably was for many of the squad. Clearly the longer into his period at the club it got, the more divided the squad became and might well be one of the major reasons why the team flagged toward the end of each season.
