8 linked with Tottenham exit. 0

Posted on September 01, 2014 by Guest Writer

It looks as though Tottenham are about to ruthlessly reduce their player staff with Pochettino having no more time remaining in which to assess the squad at his disposal, with little more than a dozen hours of the window remaining at least 8 of our senior players are linked with exits. Some are obvious exits as they have failed to make their mark, others might be looking for the exit door having failed to establish themselves in the team and want more time on the pitch.

Spurs v Hull review and why Bentaleb needs protecting 4

What should have been a golden opportunity to take another three points and keep the pressure on the teams, particularly Liverpool, ahead of them. Sherwood saw it as a point gained but as was the case at the beginning of the season a game filled with possession and little penetration, three shots on target despite dominating the majority of the game and especially large chunks of the second half. Yesterday’s was an extremely disjointed performance with disjointed performances all over the pitch.

Will Salah be a January transfer target for Tottenham? 4

Mohammed Salah of Basel has been linked with a transfer to Tottenham for much of the past six months or more, AVB could not have failed to be impressed by his destruction of the Tottenham fullback in the quarter finals of the Europa League last season, especially in the first leg at White Hart Lane, since then he has continued to progress and was instrumental in helping his team defeat Chelsea at Stamford Bridge quite recently, he scored the first goal for Basel and was their most impressive player by some margin.

Tottenham player update Lennon and Chadli injured,no Chiriches. 2

At today’s press conference AVB cleared up a few points in preparation for tomorrows fixture, unfortunately Nacer Chadli and Aaron Lennon remain unfit to start, in fact the news in relation to Aaron Lennon gives no clear indication as to when he might be available, what started out as a minor knock has now been going on for over a moth already.

Lennon resurrects competition with Walcott in England squad 0

Based on this seasons performances to date recalling Lennon to the England squad was a no brainer, he has been very influential for Tottenham so far consistently causing problems to the opposition defence. It has always seemed that he has vyed with Theo Walcott for a place in the squad and/or the team with a little pressure from Adam Johnson that seems to have been seen off now. Currently  there seems little choice for the England manager, Theo Walcott is hardly involved in the Arsenal team and only seems to be making the odd cameo appearance.

Bale has started scoring, now it’s time for Lennon to do so. 1

In my opinion Aaron Lennon has been more dangerous and effective in the role supporting the lone striker than Gareth Bale, that is until now. Bale seems to have been on a low burner but since scoring against Reading his performances have improved resulting in the game on Saturday when he terrified the United defence, to be fair in the first half Aaron Lennon also caused problems, almost carving right through their entire back four on one occasion.
