ENIC and Levy must see this through now. 0

Posted on December 24, 2014 by Scraggs

ENIC the owners of Tottenham and Daniel Levy the club’s Chairman have both been on the receiving end of fans discontent during much of their time at the helm. Some criticism is of course valid as clearly mistakes have been made, both the owner and Chairman themselves would almost certainly admit to that, but though there is still running in the background the desire from some to see the back of both of them, hopefully the more reasonable amongst the huge, and still growing, Tottenham fan base will realise the progression they have overseen in a relatively short space of time.

Sherwood fails audition. 22

This game might just have told us a little more about what went on behind the scenes as well as confirm that Tim Sherwood is out of his depth. There have been rumours for weeks that those in the background have been trying to pressure AVB into switching to a 4 4 2 system and to play Adebayor, while the media and pundits like Jamie Redknapp  have been making the case for Jermain Defoe to start suggesting he is the one natural finisher in the squad, tonight we got some answers,  it was almost certainly true that there had been interference, 4 4 2 is not the answer and Defoe is not now nor ever a natural goalscorer and is no longer worth a place in the starting lineup.

You don’t know what you’ve got until it’s gone. 18

Let us hope that this saying does not come back and bite us as the Tottenham board and those that have the ear of the Chairman seek a replacement for AVB. already stories are beginning to appear suggesting that none, or very few of the summer signings, were of AVB’s choosing and that in fact he has not been backed in the transfer market from day one, one newspaper has even suggested that the deal for Moutinho as Modric’s replacement fell apart over just £500,000 in a £26m deal.

How long does it take to perform miracles? 21

We are all upset and disappointed by Sunday’s performance and the result, so much so that some supporters are calling for the head of AVB as they have become disillusioned with his tactics and his team both in terms of performance and style. You might have seen some of the ridiculous comments by some on this site and on almost every article written about Tottenham. There have been blogs, articles, talk-ins, forums and twitter comments pretty much all designed to decry the work of AVB. I have lost count of how many times I have read that the supporters want their Tottenham back, Tottenham a team renowned for playing the game the right way, playing with flair and scoring spectacular goals and lots of them.

Are Tottenham currently the most famous club in the World? 1

For the past three months I doubt you could have found a newspaper anywhere in the world that did not contain an article relating to Tottenham in one form or another. Initially talk was about the clubs failure to qualify for the Champions League and so Bale and a few other important players might be vulnerable to being poached by other big clubs.

To begin with it seemed that Bale was happy to stay irrespective of interest from United and Real Madrid and so Tottenham went about buying players to strengthen the squad and make a statement of intent, not only to Gareth Bale but Andre Villas-Boas who was also attracting interest from some huge and wealthy clubs.

“The signing will happen on the day that Mr. Levy wishes it to” Marca. 0

The latest news from Real Madrid’s puppet paper Marca suggests that they are at long last beginning to get the message, Perez might like to think that he always gets his man and whilst it might again be the case, they all now know that it is only if and when Daniel Levy says so, and only then on his terms.

Should FFP also insist on transfer payments in full? 0

The most written about player pursuit of the summer has involved Real Madrid’s attempts to extract Gareth Bale from Tottenham. Just about everybody has had their say on the subject but most seem convinced that the richest club in world football will eventually get their way. It seems that Madrid are by now fully aware that Tottenham really do not wish to sell the player this summer but unfortunately all the attention has turned his head and he seems intent on leaving.

Zidane claims good Tottenham relationship! Tell them to poke it Daniel. 2

zidane claims that the clubs good relationship with Tottenham will help them seal the deal for Gareth Bale but they must go slowly. Well he might be surprised to know that he can poke his good relationship and Tottenham will keep Gareth Bale. Just why this good relationship should benefit them and not Tottenham is beyond me, Tottenham do not need the money and they are a club on the rise, keep the likes of Bale and the other big players that they have in their ranks, with the quality of the players already purchased and perhaps another couple including Soldado and they will be well set to challenge on a number of fronts.
