When he first joined Chelsea Jose Mourinho soon became known as the “Special One” because that is what he said he was, in his time in South London he created a fantastic winning mentality at the club, acquired great players and with that came success and lots of it. When he left to take over at Inter Milan he took that special quality with him and achieved even greater success including the Champions League trophy once again.

Mourinho- “Spurs were kings of the window” 2

Jose Mourinho has spoken of the outcome of the transfer window and the six clubs expected to fill the first six positions in the league, he believes that this could turn into the most exciting title race in years after acknowledging that every one of the six, Chelsea, City, United, Arsenal, Tottenham and Liverpool have in their own way improved in this transfer window. His take on the situation seems to be as follows:

Manchester United have merely tinkered with a winning squad and simply added midfielder Fellaini to the mix, a case of continuity perhaps being the best option for the new man Moyes.

Has Mourinho lost the plot? Chelsea were outplayed by the best team. 0

Having watched last nights Supercup I have to admit that it was a fairly thrilling game with some excellent football played by both teams, both giving their all for the cause and so it made for excellent viewing.

Just over a year ago the same two teams met in the final of the Champions League when both teams were led by different coaches, on that occasion Bayern outplayed Chelsea missing chance after chance and even a penalty along the way before Chelsea finally won the tie and took home the trophy.

Mourinho should not fear Mata joining rivals Tottenham! or does he? 1

With rumours surfacing of Tottenham interest in Juan Mata it will be interesting to see what reaction there is from Mourinho, when it comes to Chelsea’s pursuit of Rooney he suggests that United should not fear losing their player to a competitor rather than insist on selling him abroad if he has to leave, will he consider it no problem in those circumstances? Not Chelsea’s style of course, they buy players by the bucket load and loan them to other premier league clubs to improve their chances of taking points from competitors.

Mourinho”the arrogant one” AVB “The classy one” 0

Most football supporters are pleased to see the return of Jose Mourinho to the Premier League as he is certainly a character that will add something to proceedings, particularly now that Fergie has retired. Fresh off the back of a disastrous season at Real Madrid which resulted in his sacking and being drummed out of the club by the vast majority of his players, he has somehow returned to Chelsea even more arrogant than ever before. Let’s not forget that he led Real Madrid to becoming the third best team in Spain , not easy in a two team league. Madrid managed to snatch second place toward the end of the season but Atletico Madrid beat them in the Copa del Rey leaving them totally empty handed.

Mourinho prepares for backlash from several players. 0

In an attempt to further unsettle Wayne Rooney and try to force the issue of his transfer to Chelsea from United, Jose Mourinho has inadvertently made comments that should worry a number of his own players:

“Any player that wants to go to the World Cup, if they are a second choice in their club they are in trouble. They are in trouble.”

Could Madrid target Bale and AVB this summer? 0

It was clear from the reaction to the third goal at West Ham on Monday and at the end of the match that there is mutual respect, admiration and affinity for AVB from all of the Tottenham squad and more noticeably Gareth Bale, in a number of recent interviews  Bale has also sung the praises of the Tottenham coach and has given him huge credit for his own form and the improvements in performance that appear to have occurred at Tottenham.

Mourinho heading to North London next season? 0

Things in one half of  North London and Madrid are not going to plan at the moment, Arsenal are battling with Tottenham and Chelsea for a top four position and entry into the Champions League, this as we know is considered by Arsene Wenger to be as good as winning a trophy. Over in Spain the “special one” Jose Mourinho has already given up the ghost on retaining their domestic league title, they currently sit third in a two horse race.
