What chance Chadli to top four chasing Everton? 2

Posted on January 26, 2014 by Eddie S

When it seemed that Nacer Chadli might be on his way out of Tottenham a week or two ago soon after a couple of interviews attributed to his agent seemed to imply he wished to go, Chadli himself subsequently backtracked and declared his happiness at being a Tottenham player and insisted that he was willing to fight for a place in the team having been assured that he remained an important member of the squad. Since then he has started both recent fixtures and though never outstanding he does a job and is a hardworking member of the team, more importantly there is a genuine belief that there is still lots more to come from a talented player.

How will theTottenham team look for Villa? 10

After what had been a very satisfactory start to the season things started to to unravel slightly in the second half against Chelsea, Mourinho made the changes at half time that transformed procedings after a superb opening forty-five from Tottenham. The squad then travelled to Russia to take on Anzhi and they came away with what was a comfortable win after making eight changes, it turned out to be a better result than performance as the game was littered with errors and a distinct lack of goalscoring opportunities, to be fair we were happy to put that down to the state of the pitch which obviously contributed massively to a disjointed performance.

Tottenham’s magnificent 7:2nd up Nacer Chadli (video) 27

The least expensive of Tottenham’s summer deals but by no means less important. Nacer Chadli is another exciting Belgian International, still young and relatively inexperienced and with plenty more in his locker still to come. With a price tag of only £7m he was a real bargain and the amount paid was as a result of his being about to enter the last year of his current contract. Tall, quick, powerful and with an eye for goal he is going to be especially beneficial on the left of midfield bringing some stability to the position having excelled there for sometime.

Ledley gives Tottenham new boys the thumbs up. 0

Our very own Ambassador, Ledley King has spoken about Tottenham’s transfer dealings so far this summer, as a person and player that we all trust and admire then his opinion on each of the three incoming players so far should give us huge hope for the forthcoming season.

The first player through the doors was of course Paulinho for a then record Tottenham transfer fee of £17m, fresh from inspiring and powerful performances for Brazil in a successful Confederations Cup campaign Ledley only has good things to say about a midfielder he considers as world class already. Paulinho is an all action midfielder ideally suited to the Premier League, he is a huge prescence offering pace and power to the Tottenham midfield already well stocked with quality, he has a propensity to find space in the box and brings with him an exceptional goalscoring record.

Today was the turn of Nacer Chadli to sign his contract and become a Tottenham player, he is the second player signed this summer and will become an integral part of the squad but it is anticipated that he will be the first of three new deals this week alone.

Chadli in as Adebayor leaves? 5

Reports have it that Tottenham are about to secure the services of Nacer Chadli from FC Twente for what is likely to be a fee of 8m euros, Tottenham have offered 7m, Twente want 9m so a meeting in the middle seems the obvious solution to get the deal done. JTN have previously covered the possible purchase of Chadli another Belgian International. This is a player who will bring goals and assists from a wide position, predominantly the left and will offer alternatives and back up for AVB to use.

Vertonghen recommends Chadli and Alderweireld. 1

Jan Vertonghen has been one of the great success stories of the past season, he joined Tottenham from Ajax and has been nothing short of sensational and acknowledged as one of the best players in the Premiership, he is a top quality player and based on that fact you would expect him to know a good player when he sees one. Following International duty with Belgium, who have taken a stranglehold on their qualifying group for the World cup, he has recommended 2 players as being more than good enough to do well in the Premier League, Chadli and Alderweireld are now regulars in the national team of Belgium, a team now acknowledged as one of the best in Europe and possessing many wonderful players.

Belgian winger a Tottenham target? 0

I am always sceptical when a story begins with “Tottenham and Liverpool or Chelsea or Arsenal are battling for the signature of…..” or when an agent mentions his client being linked with a half dozen clubs across Europe, this is the case with Nacer Chadli but he is a player with similar qualities to Son Heung-min and one that might suit the requirements of this Tottenham squad. Only 23 yrs old he already has 7 full International caps with Belgium and has a couple of goals to his credit.
