Sandro to QPR on the cheap? 2

Harry Redknapp is now talking up his dealings in the transfer window presumably in an effort to disguise the fact that his team are at this moment a shambles. Our very own Sandro “Beast” Raniere is todays subject who he “thinks” was the subject of a near £15m bid from Zenit before he prized him away from tottenham for just £10m on deadline day.

Of course Redknapp is still taking credit for discovering Sandro and launching his career in the premiership, the timing is correct but the facts are a little different to how I actually saw it.

Tim “Woe is me” Sherwood is not confident! 2

As we approach the end of the season Daniel Levy and all the other powers that be will have to make an important decision regarding the direction Tottenham will take in the new season, the key decision will be the identity of the man to coach the squad going forward. As we all know by now, Tim Sherwood has told us many times, he is in situ at the moment and has the best win ratio of any coach in the clubs history, forgetting to add that he has taken on the strongest squad assembled in decades and that he took over a team just 5 points from 4th and 8 points from top, differences that have deteriorated despite him ramming down our throats how well he has done.

Sherwood continues to take on Tottenham players! 7

Although it is by now abundantly clear that Tim Sherwood is not up to the task of coaching Tottenham it still seems that he is intent on marginalising some of the squad and by being retained, even in the short term,  is probably setting up a summer of unrest. Though Daniel Levy has stated that there will be very few changes come the summer there are likely to be a fair few of the players feeling let down by the club and look for the exit door.

Wenger talks up Sherwood credentials, I wonder why? 8

Over the past couple of seasons Tottenham have been too close for comfort to Arsenal in the chase for Champions League qualification, in fact each of the last two should have seen the trend change and Tottenham qualify at their expense. Because of this concerted challenge Arsene Wenger and the Arsenal board have come under increasing pressure though Tottenham’s recent demise has taken the pressure off as their fans seem to simply be happy to see Tottenham’s struggles.

1 Loan, 2 snubs, 3 take it or leave it offers and an early night for Tottenham on deadline day. 1

Not the typical final day of a transfer window for Tottenham, just when Daniel Levy and his top buyer Franco Baldini would normally be operating at optimum power it seems that a half days holiday was called in North London. The cameras and media were where the action normally takes place as they gathered at Tottenham HQ to see players arrive for their medicals before there unveiling, even though Tim Sherwood had given them the thumbs up and said that he had told Levy no players were needed they waited believing that to be a red herring, the cameras continued to roll and the Sky reporter was not even put off when they locked the gates and left!

Redknapp still has far too much Tottenham influence! 10

Eighteen months after being sacked from his post at Tottenham the Redknapp bandwagon is still rolling, his pals in the media and his son Jamie all turned their wrath against anything Tottenham. Suddenly Modric, rather than stay loyal to Tottenham during Redknapps time as coach, really had to leave to achieve his ambitions as did Gareth Bale a year later, strangely as of now while both have had the opportunity to play in the Champions League, mostly against whipping boys, still no trophies and only third in a two team league, but I digress, both Redknapps have treated us to articles about the players Tottenham need to maintain a challenge at the top of the league and have championed the cause of playing two strikers including Adebayor. Eventually the pressure and what seems to have been the coaching staff Redknapp left behind managing to chip away at AVB’s authority led to his demise and while the consensus of opinion in the media is that he was sacked I think many are beginning to think he resigned and that is the reason Levy had no backup plan.

Harry’s top four team decimated. Transformation complete! 8

Almost eighteen months ago Harry Redknapp had managed to put together a team that was to finish the season in fourth place, reach the semi-finals of the FA Cup and be lauded up until early February as possible title contenders as well as the most exciting team in England. Harry openly stated that Tottenham were then very close to being good enough to win the title itself and would quite conceivably do so within the near future.

Redknapp effectively admits he was leaving Spurs for England 1

If anybody still had any sympathy for Harry Redknapp following his sacking at Tottenham last summer his latest comments should finally put an end to any thought that he was badly treated. He has effectively confirmed that it was his one and only opportunity to be given the job, would have taken it and even had the audacity to blame Tottenham and the terms of his contract for his failure to be offered or considered for the job.

Everyone is waiting for Tottenham to hit the wall. 0

Before each and every game so called experts give their opinion and prediction on upcoming fixtures, currently the most common feature of almost every article written is that Tottenham have yet to experience a bad run of performance and results. Just today ex-gunner Paul Merson, affectionately known as “Merse” on Sky Sports knocks the credibility of both Gareth Bale and Luis Suarez in relation to the Footballer of the Year award, he suggests that although they have both done well in average sides the award should be given to Van Persie who has won the league for United. Surely the award is given to the player most deserving based upon their ability and not simply to the player scoring most goals for the best team, on that basis Fergie will be Manager of the Year when we know that he is not.

Mistake to sack Redknapp,No, Levy meant to do it. 0

Joe Jordan has come out and said that it was amistake to axe Harry Redknapp and that he had a couple of players in mind to make the difference. He conveniently forgets that when Harry had the opportunity to commit himself to Tottenham he failed to do so,instead he continued to say that he wanted the England job,in a roundabout way.

He had no loyalty to Spurs until the job was offered to Roy Hodgson then his tune and results changed,a coincidence maybe, but we shall never know.As far as I am concerned he was 99% destined to take the England job when offered,Spurs season fell apart even though they were desperately unlucky not to gain Champions League entry.
