Mass Exodus from Tottenham 0

Posted on June 17, 2012 by Scraggs

These are the reports from many papers, all these players are so unhappy with the treatment of Harry Redknapp that they wish to leave,no matter that they have contracts and long ones at that.

These players supposedly include Defoe ,Corluka and many others.Corluka has been out on loan for months and has expressed his wish to leave because he has been continuously overlooked,Defoe has been cosidering his options in the last 2 transfer windows because of lack of opportunity, and lets face it he has been with Redknapp more than most at Spurs W.Ham and Portsmouth.

No sympathy for Redknapp,it was self inflicted. 1

Why are all the hacks reporting a grave error made by the Spurs board in sacking Harry Redknapp and how hard done by he is after all he has done for Tottenham. Was it not Redknapp who repeatedly stated that the England job was his dream,it would be hard to turn it down etc.etc..

Now that the England job has passed to Hodgson Tottenham has become his main focus once more and he would be prepared to sign a new 4 year contract at upwards of £3m a year.Jog on, who in their right mind would give a 4 year contract to a 65 year old who recently had heart problems and who has openly admitted he would have walked away if the job had been offerred.

John Terry derailed Tottenham’s season in that game at QPR 0

Posted on June 14, 2012 by Tony

The game at QPR when the alleged Terry/Ferdinand incident occurred had more far reaching effects than could be imagined at the time and until the season starts or the transfer season ends we don’t know how it will all end, especially in regard to Tottenham Hotspurs.

Until then Fabio Capello was settled in as England manager having successfully guided us through to Euro 2012, Redknapp was roaring along with Spurs chasing the Manchester duo and well ahead of Arsenal. Champions League qualification was a foregone conclusion we all felt. Harry won his tax case and we beat Newcastle 5-0, and then the captaincy issue at England occurred. Capello was gone, Harry was installed as favourite to take over in his place, and Spurs season subsequently collapsed!

Tottenhams new manager-It must be Moyes. 0

Well Harry is off, it seems his ego has cost him this job.It would not be right to say that it has not been exciting and he has done well by us,but,I cant help thinking he got what he deserved in the end.

On the night we played Newcastle off the park and got to within a couple of points of the Manchesters he could have written his own contract at Spurs.Earlier in the day Capello had gone and now it was all about Harry Redknapp England manager and he did nothing to alter that,in fact he encouraged it.

Tottenham 3 5 2 formation tested by Italy against World champions 0

Posted on June 11, 2012 by Eddie S

Italy against Spain saw the return of the 3 5 2 formation to a big tournament, and, it worked very well for Italy as they were well worth a draw against the cuurent World and European Champions.

Spain played with a 4 6 0 formation for the majority of the game similar to Barcelona but Italy proved good value for the draw and both teams had good opportunities to win the game, particularly Torres when he came on.

Could Tottenham recruit another Croatian as striker option. 0

Posted on June 11, 2012 by Tony

There were 4 players in the Croatia squad last night either currently playing at White Hart Lane or having done so recently, but apart from the obvious genius of Modric the other stand out player was Mario Mandzukic.

Mandzukic was a constant threat and scorer of 2 goals with an enormous workrate and obviously has good aerial strength. He currently plys his trade at Wolfsburg and apparently has 2 years left on his current contract,so,it is fair to say that he is in the shop window in this tournament.

Redknapp will be in charge at Tottenham next season 0

Posted on June 08, 2012 by Tony

We all know that when Harry joined Tottenham they had 2 points from 8 games, now after finishing 4th twice and 5th and also progressing to the quarterfinals of the European cup, why would he leave or Daniel Levy get rid of him.

Who could he be replaced by to improve us and possibly challenge seriously for the title, probably only the “Special One” Jose, but that is never going to happen! Not only because of his salary but mainly the transfer budget he would want available to him.

Tottenham should have sold Modric to Chelsea last summer! 1

Posted on June 08, 2012 by Eddie S

The news is surfacing today that Tottenham and Man United have agreed to do a deal for Luka Modric at the paltry price of just £25million, and he will earn around £125,000 a week.

That doesn’t stand up well with the £40 million on offer at the end of last summers transfer window from Chelsea which was flatly refused by Daniel Levy.

To make it worse Chelsea probably made certain that Modric would be leaving by beating Bayern Munich in the Champions League final thereby demoting Spurs to the Europa League. You can bet your life Modric said last year that if we failed to make the Champions League he’d be off!
