Tottenham’s revolving door. Who’s out? Who’s in? 0

The last game of the season is fast approaching and yet again it will end in disappointment for all tottenham supporters. Although the sale of Gareth Bale last summer was enormously telling the club seemed to have used the opportunity to acquire a number of players to enhamce the quality within the squad and finally purchase a few long awaited additions to provide what had perhaps been missing in previous seasons. The supporters were sad to see Bale depart but were realistic enough to understand the reasons and were happy with the additions made.
Many of us still believe that had Levy and the other decision makers held their nerve in December that AVB would have achieved the target of Champions League football and perhaps a better shot at one of the cups, he has certainly hit the ground running at Zenit and proven that a coach with an idea and some structure to his plans generally manages to obtain results. It might have been too defensive on occasions, there were a few disappointing results along the way but in general the team dominated the opposition unlike the position we find ourselves in now.

Another win for Tim Sherwood, which in his eyes endorses his position of greatest Tottenham manager of all time, though it should not be clouded by the fact that he has only twenty Premiership fixtures behind him and doesn’t take into account a win ratio of just 16% in cup matches. If Sherwood still believes that he is the right man for the job he will be buoyed by the latest reports of Van Gaal being offered and accepting the job at Old Trafford, though not yet confirmed it is very likely to be the case with Ryan Giggs as his number 2 learning and preparing to step into the job himself in the not too distant future.

It’s funny how Arsenal supporters were bold and brassy on Tottenham sites only a couple of weeks back but are now conspicuous by their total absence, too busy posting comments of unhappiness and unrest about Arsene Wenger and the Arsenal board to worry about us as their season has turned to mush, well almost, though they still have the small matter of the FA Cup to compete for. That drubbing at Chelsea has finally brought home the truth to their supporters that they are a million miles from being title competitors and that the purchase of their £43m superstar was as we said at the time simply a cover up and a panic buy to take the pressure off the management team.
