Villas-Boas has stated his intention to go far in this competition and so a strong team will be chosen allowing the full use of the squad and trying out different options. AVB probably has no idea what his best/strongest lineup is as yet and will almost certainly pick his teams based upon the oppositions strengths and weaknesses, he does though need to get some of the squad playing and at match fitness levels.
The new season is almost upon us and the first game is now immenent, it is a difficult one against probably the biggest surprise package of last season.
Newcastle have bought well recently and have a potent midfield and forward line, against a team like Tottenham who possess players of great pace if Newcastle have a problem it is probably a lack of pace defensively.
Tottenham should by now be ready for this first challenge even though the final squad is lacking a really potent attacking player or two, so how will Tottenham lineup?
