Today’s Premier League predictions.

Posted on March 25, 2014 by Eddie S

There are only three games but all are of significance at the top of the table and for some will determine their season. The three home teams will all expect to win and in most cases need to win but equally the away teams also have so much to play for. Predicting the outcome of games has become increasingly difficult, though four were correct at the weekend and a fifth only ruined by a last gasp effort the thrashings handed out are difficult to comprehend.

  • Arsenal v Swansea 19:45
  • Arsenal are one of those teams that have been on the end of far too many thrashings to believe that they are good enough to win the title this season, they are I believe the only team to have so far conceded six twice this season. Tonight will not see them concede many if any in fact though Bony if he plays is the type that will cause their defence a few upsets having lost their best and quickest central defender to injury. After a six goal mauling to Chelsea the home team will need to get back to winning ways quickly with difficult games coming up against Manchester City and Everton. Failure to win tonight could well see Arsenal slip not only out of contention for the title but even their place in the Champions League might come under threat. Home win 2-0premier league
  • Man Utd v Man City 19:45
  • Somehow I don’t think City are going to have it all their own way tonight as a couple of decent results for United since the humiliating home defeat to Liverpool has improved the atmosphere at Old Trafford. the twoo clubs leading the title race will have heaped a bit of pressure on city and it should be noted that their coach has a history of being a nearly man at previous clubs including Real Madrid when the team scored for fun and had a huge points total but were second to Barcelona that season. Draw 2-2.
  • Newcastle v Everton19:45
  • Newcastle pinched the points with a last minute goal against Palace at the weekend are safely in eighth place just ahead of Southampton and only just behind United and will probably be happy to remain where they are. Everton are the team with everything to fight for as if they were to win their game in hand they would find themselves just five points behind an Arsenal team they entertain on the 6/4 and seven behind rivals Liverpool in the battle for a top four spot. Away win 2-1.
