Tottenham bid reported to have gone in for Miralem Pjanic.

Sky Italia are reporting that Tottenham have lodged an official bid for Roma playmaker Miralem Pjanic the Bosnian international. This could well be a realistic turn of events as he was on AVB’s wishlist during the last transfer window. Despite his efforts his club Roma could only finish in 6th place in the Italian league and the player himself might as a result be up for a new challenge. If true I suppose that Daniel Levy will open up with a relatively modest offer and so the game will begin.

Additional reports suggest that Bayern Munich are also in the frame for his services but with the players already at their disposal and the recent purchase of Goetze for £32m surely that is a ploy to extract more money from any bidding club.

Pjanic is probably exactly the type of player that will suit AVB and the hierarchy of Tottenham, a playmaker in the truest sense able to chip in with goals and even more assists, he has only just turned 23yrs of age and whilst he will cost Tottenham decent money he could go on to become another fantastic player and will be worth considerably more in the future.

This could very well turn out to be a true story going by previous transfer windows, Roma have underperformed and hopefully the player will consider the Tottenham challenge something to be considered, provided of course that his club and Daniel Levy can thrash out a deal satisfactory to all parties.
