Vlad, don’t count on a move to Chelsea.

Posted on October 02, 2013 by Tony

Vlad Chiriches agent has already begun spouting rubbish and implying that the players move to Tottenham is merely a stepping stone to a big money move to Chelsea in a year or two. Apparently Mourinho had been keeping tabs on his development even during his time with Real Madrid. Once he has made the grade then he expects Chelsea to make a huge offer for the player in order to take him to Stamford Bridge.

Perhaps Chiriches agent has got the wrong end of the stick regarding Daniel Levy, believing him to be a pussycat or a soft touch when player wheeling and dealing, the owner of his previous club managed to delay his joining Tottenham by going off on one from his prison cell but his agent should remember that in the long game the player eventually found his way to Tottenham.

Chiriches eems happy enough to be a tottenham player.

Chelsea already have first hand experience of trying to buy Tottenham players and dealing with Daniel Levy, Chelsea tried for the entire summer of 2011 to buy Luka Modric, the offers steadily rose from £22m to almost £40m, they allegedly encouraged the player to strike, sulk and refuse to train, he may have even had a nice holiday on Abramovitch’s yacht but he stayed at Tottenham until Levy said he could leave for Spain.

Chiriches has had but one outing for his new club and he did nothing better than ok, he is a player that much is expected of, a defender who is comfortable in possession and is happy to launch attacks from deep. We hope that he makes it, we expect him to make it but his agent should get any idea of moving to Chelsea out of his head if he does become a huge star.

Daniel Levy does not do sales to competitors any longer and it is extremely unlikely that any club would be willing pay anything like a world record fee for a defender. If it were true that Mourinho held high hopes for the player and was hopeful of signing him once established then he should have made the effort to buy him, if the player is as successful as we hope then that ship to Chelsea has sailed.

After the Willian debacle, it will take some extraordinary sum for Mr Levy to sell to that lot. Says a lot about Chiriches’s agent!

  2. Eric says:

Would be naive to trust what agents say so m not worried at all
